How long have you been doing Fitcamp? 

"On & off for past 8 years"

What made you decide to try Fitcamp?

"Meeting Emily at a Business Networking Meeting and saw her passion for her business "

What did you think after your first workout?

"It was very intense, thought I was crazy, but looked around the gym & saw everyone else "working it" so I decided I need to do this for myself as well"

​​​

​

What's your FAVORITE movement?

"Favorite?  ...Just getting up off the floor, yep that's it.  All the other movements are just part of the fun."

 

​

What's your LEAST favorite movement?

"Not showing up.  I may never be first, but I'm blessed that I always try to finish."

​​

​

Any advice for those just getting started on their fitness journey?

"Find your own pace, push yourself when you feel the need.  Everyone at the gym is pulling for you, even in silence."

Would you like to give any shout outs to other members or coaches?

"Wow, there is a whole crew on the fitcamp side that tolerate and encourage me (mornings and evenings). Thank you all.  Although I miss Jenna, Em, Adam, Rachel & every other coach here encourages my success.  Thank you."

How long have you been doing CrossFit? 

"About 2.5 years "

What made you decide to try CrossFit?

"I moved to Cincinnati during Covid and had no friends or community. A coworker recommended a CrossFit gym as a way to meet people and workout. I still don’t have any friends but now I do CrossFit!"​​

What did you think after your first workout?

"My first workout was max C&J followed by Grace. I distinctly remember lying on the floor dying and thinking this isn’t for me, as I watched (now one of my best friends) C&J 275 like it was nothing. However, I’m a sucker for pain and decided to keep coming and the rest is history."​​

​

What's your FAVORITE movement?

"Bar Muscle ups!"

What's your LEAST favorite movement?

"Thruster "

Any advice for those just getting started on their fitness journey?

"Perfection is the enemy of progress. Take it day by day and love yourself every step of it."

Would you like to give any shout outs to other members or coaches?

"I don’t have enough space to list out all the people who make this gym amazing, but you know who you are. All the coaches, all the members (s/o my afternoon people), all the dogs who people bring to class. Thank you for making this place feel like home! "

How long have you been doing CrossFit? 

"Since June 2023"

What made you decide to try CrossFit?

"I live really close so I would walk by the gym with my dog, LoLo, since he was a puppy for socialization. Taylor would always come out to say hi and so LoLo demands we stop by every day. Finally signed up for the challenge and loved it."

What did you think after your first workout?

"My cardio was okay from running and rowing but I thought I'd never figure out the lifts, gymnastic movements, even jump rope. So weak and uncoordinated!"

What's your FAVORITE movement?

"Probably rope climbs. Was so psyched the first time I did one."

 

​

What's your LEAST favorite movement?

"Air bike. Hate it."

​​

​

Any advice for those just getting started on their fitness journey?

"For me, my nutrition has had the biggest impact, understanding and tracking calories and macros. With everything, you don't have to be perfect but consistency is key."

Would you like to give any shout outs to other members or coaches?

"I really appreciate all of the encouragement from the coaches and members. It's what makes this place special compared to all the other Planet Fitness type gyms."

How long have you been doing Fitcamp? 

"Off and on for at least 5 years. I have tried other gyms but I always come back!"

What made you decide to try Fitcamp?

"Originally it was the workout times. I worked 6am -230 and there was a CrossFit class at 3!  I started CrossFit and eventually moved to Em’s Fitcamp."

What did you think after your first workout?

"I always feel energized after a workout. It really keeps me sane!  I also enjoy my increased strength. "

What's your FAVORITE movement?

I" like rowing , maybe because you can sit while doing it"

What's your LEAST favorite movement?

"Push-ups! I’m really bad at them."

​​

​

Any advice for those just getting started on their fitness journey?

"Just keep coming back. Even if it’s just once a week. You always feel better afterwards. Also all the reps are just a suggestion. Like Adam always says, you do you boo"

Would you like to give any shout outs to other members or coaches?

"Adam is the best coach. He always makes us smile. "
